The hotel had rooms that overlooked the car park and had a bath with shower, although it was just okay. The service was friendly, understanding, and accommodating. My stay at the hotel was a mix of pleasant and disappointing experiences. The rooms offered a massive, very comfortable bed, but there was a very bad smell in the carpet outside the room, which was soaking wet with mold growing on it. The availability of hot water was a plus, and the room itself was nice and very comfortable, suitable for a one-night stay.

The staff were going nonstop, but always remained polite. They neglected to inform us of breakfast times until after we had missed it. However, when an issue with the room arose, they promptly offered me a new room, which was similar to my initial one. Overall, the service was good with friendly staff.

The hotel's location overlooking the village green and its proximity to the M25 make it ideal for a weekend visit to nearby family members. Additionally, it was perfect for getting to and from the Harry Potter studios, our primary reason for the trip.

The dining experience, whilst looking over Chipperfield Common, was lovely, but the waiting time for food was quite long, almost three-quarters of an hour after ordering. The presentation could be better. However, the overall dining quality was good, reflecting in the quote, 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever. '
